Dear Shinobi of the Hidden Leaf Village,
If you are reading this it means I have long since passed away but still have things I need to tell you. How many years has it been since that dreaded Akastuki have been defeated or since Madara had been killed?
Being the one person in the center of it all, I should know. You may be looking at a time of peace where all five villages are close in an alliance with one another. In the world of shinobi however, this is one thing that will not last. During my time as Hokage of the Hidden Leaf village, I secretly did some research on our S rank criminals and missing nin from our village. What I found out about them was astonishing.
As a village our ANBU black ops were maybe able to kill and destroy any evidence of about forty-five percent of our rogue ninja. The other five percent were taken care of by regular jounin, chuunin and even Genin like myself at the time. So what happened to the other fifty percent of our rogue ninja? Did they die of old age? Probably not.
Digging even deeper into this mystery, I found out something which you should all be aware of. In the Land of Shadows is a village, though it was still small at the time. Rogue ninja from all over the world have gathered here. Though it is still unclear what their objective is, it would be wise to prepare for the worst. I'm leaving this note, hoping that the current Hokage can put it to good use. Good luck, my son.
